Texas A&M Astronomical Observatory Horizon for TheSky6™

TheSky6 allows users to replace the horizon with their own panoramic image of their observing location. This requires two files: a panoramic image and a horizon file, which instructs TheSky6 how to use the panorama. Select the link below to download a zipped archive containing both files necessary to add the Texas A&M Astronomical Observatory as the horizon in TheSky6.

Adding the Horizon to TheSky6™

1. After dowloading and expanding the TAMAO_HORIZON.ZIP archive, copy both files (TAMAO.TIF and TAMAO.horizon) to:

\My Documents\Software Bisque\TheSky6\Horizons

2. From TheSky6, select View > Real Mode Options from the menu.

3. In the Real Mode Options dialog box, select the Horizon image option.

4. Click on the Browse... button to locate the TAMAO.horizon file. You're done.
