Postion of Saturn's Moons
The applet below displays the current position of the eight
brightest moons of Saturn and updates automatically to the current UTC. You
can change the date using the combo boxes. Saturn would be at the center of
the crosshairs and South would be at the top of the applet.
- Right-Click on the display to update the moons to the current UTC and
start AutoUpdate.
- Left-Click on the display to change perspective (North or South up).
- Select the "Advance" checkbox to put the moons in motion over
time. (Increases UTC by 15 minutes every 100 milliseconds)
- Place the mouse pointer over a moon to view its name.
